Michael carved one happy face and one sad face.

Daniel carved a message and a scarred face.

The jack-o-lanterns cast a bright glow up the wall.

For trick-or-treating, Daniel went with friends near his school.  Naturally he dressed as a western outlaw.   But the outlaw didn't want his picture taken.  Perhaps he was afraid I'd put it on a wanted poster.

Michael went the mall with friends.  They dressed as themselves, teenagers at the mall, which is perhaps just as scary to some people.

The boys also made little jack-o-lanterns out of legos.

The big jack-o-lantern came from a kit.  Daniel made the smaller one at left.  Michael made the two lopsided one at right, to represent the condition of our actual pumpkins.
